1. Service Description

What Scryer Provides

Scryer is an AI-powered analytics service for Shopify stores that:

• Generates daily AI reports analyzing your store performance
• Provides chat interface to query your store data
• Offers insights and recommendations for business improvement
• Tracks performance metrics and industry benchmarks

Experimental Nature

Important: Scryer is an experimental AI service. Analysis, insights, and recommendations may not always be accurate or appropriate for your specific business situation.

Subscription Model

Each Shopify store requires a separate Scryer subscription. Multi-store management is not currently supported.

2. AI Processing and Data Usage

OpenAI Integration

We use OpenAI's models to process your store data. Your data:

• Is processed by OpenAI for generating insights and responses
• Is not used to train our AI models or OpenAI's models
• May be used for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to enhance your chat responses
• Remains your property and is not shared with other users

Data Processing

By using Scryer, you consent to:

• Processing of your Shopify data by AI systems
• Temporary in-memory processing during chat sessions
• Use of your data to generate personalized insights

3. Service Limitations and Disclaimers

Experimental Service Warning

Scryer is an experimental AI service. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated insights may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate
• Recommendations should be evaluated before implementation
• The service is provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy
• You are solely responsible for business decisions based on Scryer's output

No Business or Financial Advice

Scryer provides informational insights only. Our AI analysis:

• Does not constitute professional business or financial advice
• Should not be relied upon for critical business decisions
• May not account for your specific business context or goals
• Requires independent verification and professional consultation

Service Dependencies

Scryer depends on third-party services including:

• Shopify API for data access
• OpenAI for AI processing
• Cloud hosting providers

Service interruptions may occur due to third-party limitations beyond our control.

4. User Responsibilities

Account Security

• Keep your Shopify and Scryer credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication where available

Compliance

• Comply with Shopify's Terms of Service
• Follow applicable laws and regulations
• Ensure you have rights to share store data with Scryer

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy Scryer's algorithms
• Use the service to violate laws or third-party rights
• Share login credentials with unauthorized parties
• Interfere with the service's operation or security

5. Subscription and Billing

Subscription Plans

• Essential ($29/month): 30-day analysis, daily insights, chat functionality
• Premium ($99/month): 60-day analysis, advanced AI features, priority support

Per-Store Billing

Each Shopify store requires a separate subscription. You cannot use one subscription across multiple stores.

Payment Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• 7-day free trial available for Essential plan
• No refunds for partial months or unused service
• Prices may change with 30 days notice

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

6. Data and Privacy

Data Ownership

Your store data remains your property. AI-generated reports and insights are provided to you under these terms.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Core data is retained while your subscription is active
• Session data is deleted after 60 days
• All data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app
• You can request data deletion through our support or Shopify's data deletion webhook

Privacy Policy

Data collection and use is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

7. Intellectual Property

Scryer's Intellectual Property

Scryer owns all rights to:

• Software, algorithms, and AI models
• User interface and design
• Trademarks and branding

User Data and Reports

You own your store data and the AI-generated reports created from it. We grant you a license to use and modify these reports for your business purposes.

8. Service Availability

Uptime

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

Updates and Changes

We may modify features, add new capabilities, or discontinue functionality with reasonable notice.

9. Termination

User Termination

You may terminate your account by:

• Uninstalling the Scryer app from your Shopify store
• Contacting our support team

Scryer Termination

We may terminate your account for:

• Violation of these terms
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Misuse of the service
• Legal or regulatory requirements

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to Scryer will cease immediately
• All data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• No refunds will be provided for unused subscription time

10. Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

Scryer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scryer's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Experimental Service Limitations

Given the experimental nature of AI analysis, we are not liable for:

• Inaccurate or inappropriate AI recommendations
• Business losses from following AI insights
• Decisions made based on Scryer's analysis

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any disputes will be resolved in Belgian courts or through binding arbitration under Belgian law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
